Ostuni – The White City

Ostuni, or famously called “The White City” is perched up on the hill, which overlooks the stunning Adriatic Coastline. A city full of whitewashed buildings mixed with gothic style cathedrals.

But what is it about Ostuni that has tourists coming in their droves each year? It’s close proximity to the sea is a big plus. Ostuni is located approximately 6km from the Costa Merlata and the Rosa Marina, which is one of the most sought after exclusive beach areas in Italy.

Not to mention being strategically located to reach all of Puglia’s most popular tourist hot spots such as the stunning coastal towns of Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, the beautiful UNESCO world heritage town of Alberobello, famous for its iconic trulli houses and the caves of Castellana Grotte.

Ostuni’s historical centre is a myriad of little alleyways and streets, which are dotted with quaint boutiques selling kitsch local souvenirs, local wines and olive oils and other gastronomic delights that Puglia is famous for.

How does one reach Ostuni? It is strategically located between two airports, Bari and Brindisi, which can be reached in just over an hour (Bari) and just over thirty minutes (Brindisi). Both airports are well serviced with flights arriving from most major European cities daily; some of which have multiple flights from the same cities during the high season.

Ostuni is also home to the newest offering to the boutique hotel space: Paragon700. A remarkably unique structure that totally stands out in comparison to the whitewashed buildings due to its rustic red colour. The only red “palazzo” in the entire city.

Paragon700 is a stunning example of timeless elegance combined with state of the art designer furnishings, spread out over 11 unique suites which all have an individual feel about them.

For the interior design enthusiast, take a look at our boutique where we offer deco and selected furniture for sale, where you can take a piece of your holiday back with you to provide memories to last a lifetime.

The vision of Paragon700 is to offer its guests a totally unique experience in Ostuni. The structure boasts the only pool located in the town, a relaxing wellness area with a bespoke Himalayan salt room, yoga and pilates classes and the chance to unwind and lose yourself into the private gardens with enchanting citrus orchard. Breathe in the scents of the heady citrus aroma and feel totally at one in the Mediterranean nature.

For the beach lover, why not head over to our sister establishment P Beach where you can enjoy pre-reserved parasols and sun loungers whilst you gaze over the stunning crystal blue sea that the Adriatic Coast is famous for.

If fine dining is what excites you, then you will not be disappointed by our restaurant, which is run by Michelin star chef Paolo Airaudo, who has worked all over the world and his specialities of traditional Pugliese cuisine mixed with his own unique flair will leave your tastebuds wanting more!
